The church was built at the beginning of the thirteenth century in Romanesque style, but in 1700 it was renovated based on the Baroque style. In 1735 it was decorated with gold ornaments to adapt it to the Rococo.
The church had various modifications until the twentieth century. Of the original project only the bell tower remains.
