The exterior pulpit of the Cathedral of Prato is a work by Donatello and Michelozzo, dated from 1428 to 1438. Made of marble, bronze, and mosaic, it is located on the southeast side of the Cathedral of Prato. The pulpit measures 210 cm in height to the roof.
From the pulpit, the important relic of the Girdle of Our Lady is publicly displayed, which is shown at Christmas, Easter, May 1st, August 15th, and on the most solemn day, September 8th, the Feast of the Nativity of Mary.
