The church of San Giacomo d'Altopascio is a Catholic place of worship located on via Malaspina in Pontremoli, in the province of Massa-Carrara.
Renovated in 1627, it was formerly attached to a convent of Augustinian nuns. The building, closed to worship for decades, has been reopened after restoration, which has affected both the 19th-century wall paintings on the vault and the beautiful frescoes by Antonio Contestabili that surround the main altar, on which is placed the Ascension by Giuseppe Bottani, as well as the wooden furnishings: the 18th-century choir loft and 17th-century side altars adorned with paintings, one of which frames a small 15th-century fresco that survived the fire of 1495 and the 17th-century renovation.
