The church of Saints Sebastian and Rocco, is a subsidiary church in the hamlet of Penia, in Canazei. It dates back to the sixteenth century.
In the hamlet of Penia the church would have been erected immediately after the mid-sixteenth century but the dates are not certain and a popular legend tells that this would have been moved by a flock of birds in the current position. These would have followed the divine will to have the sacred building exactly on the col de Lagnol, the highest point of the town.
