When Queen Christina of Sweden in November 1655 traveled through the republic of Venice, she wasn't admitted to Verona. Foreigners were kept out for fear of pestilence. Therefore the train of Christina was received in the little castle of Dolce. On the spot of this former castle you now may park your car.
