The porta a Selci is located on Viale Vittorio Veneto.
The gate was already part of the Etruscan wall, but the current construction, consisting of a simple round arch, dates back to the 16th century, when the older gate, also known as the Porta del Sole, was buried after the extension work on the Rocca Vecchia in the 15th century.
From here, the roads leading to the Sienese territory branch off.
