From the Piazza we can see 5 of the towers of San Gimignano.
San Gimignano has 16 towers: Campanile della Collegiata, Torri (2) degli Ardinghelli, Torre dei Becci, Torre Campatelli, Torre Chigi, Torre dei Cugnanesi, Torre del Diavolo, Torre Ficherelli or Ficarelli, Torre Grossa, Torre di Palazzo Pellari, Casa- torre Pesciolini, Torre Pettini, Torre Rognosa, Torri (2) dei Salvucci.
In some texts the number of towers is reduced from 16 to 14: in general the bell tower of the Collegiate Church and the Pesciolini House tower are removed from the count, which have different characteristics from the others.
