Piazza Pecori is a small square in San Gimignano, located on one side of the Collegiata.
It is a picturesque widening accessible through the Arch of San Giovanni, which connects the square with Piazza del Duomo at the height of the steps of the Collegiata and the Torre Grossa. The arch is decorated at the top with a statue of San Gimignano from 1342, from the Porta alle Fonti.
Reminiscent of a secluded courtyard, the picturesque square is pedestrian-only and paved with terracotta laid in a herringbone pattern. On the side of the cathedral is the Loggia del Battistero, with the Annunciation of Sebastiano Mainardi.
The Palazzo della Propositura in front of it now houses the Capitular Archive or Opera, with 15th-century manuscripts, parchments and papal bulls from 1182. The former chaplains' dormitory now houses the Museum of Sacred Art.
