The Grand Hotel Brunate was the last work in Art Nouveau style by architect Giuseppe Casartelli. Located in Brunate, in the province of Como, its construction was completed in 1893, one year before the construction of the Como-Brunate funicular. Today, after a renovation of the property, it consists of private apartments.
Located in the Pizz district in Brunate with a panoramic view of Como outside the historic center, it consists of five floors, with different proportions to the nearby villas, but in line with the large hotel structures present in Italy and in Europe at the time .

The plan is rectangular and the front facade has six neoclassical lesennes alternating with large single and double windows, topped by important stuccos that, together with the balconies, whose parapets are made of wrought iron, give movement to the facade. On the lower floor there is a large veranda overlooked by a large terrace supported by columns.

The hotel had fifty rooms: on the ground and first floors were the vestibule, the dining room, the relaxation room and the smoking room, while the guest rooms and suites were located on the upper floors. The decorations were applied by the painter Travaglini from Varese.

The hotel was closed immediately after the Second World War, and in the 1960s it was restructured and converted into a residential complex.
