This seventeenth-century church was closed after the earthquake that devastated the Belice Valley on the night of January 15, 1968.
The church was home to the Brotherhood of the Good Death. The large altarpiece on the main altar depicts purgatory and the purification of souls.
After careful restoration and preparation, it was converted into a sacred art museum.
Inside hangs a canvas by Fra Felice da Sambuca , which is not self-evident: this was in fact a painter who usually reproduced copies of others, in this case it is an original work.
