High Way of the Morenic Amphitheater of Ivrea - Ami

The High Path of the Morainic Amphitheater of Ivrea is a grand circular itinerary that, in a clockwise direction, travels from Andrate to Brosso the morainic amphitheater formed during the Quaternary period by the glacier that occupied the Dora Baltea valley, at its outlet to the Canavese plain. The modeling work of the glacier has left us with a structure of great geomorphological interest whose excellent conservation allows us to read like in an open book the effects of the succession of glacial and interglacial periods in the Pleistocene era, from 1.65 million to 130 thousand years ago.
