Around 'Guttland'

We did this beautiful walk on 05.07.2022. It is a combination of various hiking and biking trails. Parking is available at the bus stop in Reckange, Rue Principale. Guttland ofte Gutes Land has something for everyone. Just take a look at the website https://www.visitguttland.lu/nl

In our opinion, it was an easy walk with a partially paved road and wide semi-paved paths. Here and there we walk on narrow paths. Beautiful nature, silence and distant views of the lake.

After following the beautiful Eischtal valley for a while, you will cross the C105 where you will get a view of Hollenfels Castle . Hollenfels Castle is one of the castles in the Valley of the Seven Castles.

Nice to deviate from the road is Neimillen, a ruin of an old water mill in the Mandelbaach valley.

The Eenelter Chapel also invites you to relax. Since the beginning of the Christian era, there has been a chapel on this site. The current chapel was built in 1897 in honor of Saint Donatus. It owes its current appearance to an extensive restoration in 1996.

If you want, you can also visit the menhir of Beisenerbierg. The menhir of Beisenerbierg is a three-meter-high menhir that stands on a hill near Reckange in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. An excavation in 2001 revealed that the age was Neolithic.
