Manternach is a commune in the province of Luxembourg, in the Luxembourg region. The municipality covers an area of 27.68 km² and had 1607 inhabitants on 1 January 2007. The municipality is connected to the railway network via Manternach station.

This beautiful hike of the self-hiking trail can be started at the station of 'Manternach'.

It begins with a difficult climb and then descends into the valley of the Syre. Afterwards we can go back to the village 'Lellig'. During this hike you will arrive on narrow paths, almost all of which run between fenced meadows, a somewhat strange but still beautiful sight.

The simple church of 'Lellig' is definitely worth a visit.
