Nice varied walk in Bonnevoie, from the brochure car-pedestrian circuits. This hike is described as easy but has some decent climbs, mostly up stairs.
Bonnevoie is a village in the south-east of the Luxembourg capital.

Starting point: Rue Auguste Charles (near the Alzette bridge between Bonnevoie and Hamm). Rating: easy

Description: During this walk you will pass one of the most interesting places of the industrial past, the impressive buildings of the Schleifmillen. Founded in 1766, this factory produced reinforced steel tools with hydraulic power. In 1828, the infrastructure was redesigned and the Schleifmillen became the most important textile factory in the country. The route follows the Alzette to the 'Gantebeensmillen'. It goes back to the starting point along wooded hills overlooking the Alzette valley.
Places of interest: Close to Bonnevoie, Howald and the main train station, the Alzette valley is quite idyllic. Thanks to the 10 km long Luxembourg-Hesperange cycle path, this quiet place has become a popular recreational area.
