Description by the author

Between Müllerthal and Consdorf it is wonderful to walk. It is not for nothing that it is also the most beautiful part of the Mullerthal Trail. It's a bit ascending and descending at times, but you can also see all the highlights. A very varied landscape with crevasses (including the Rittergang!), rock tunnels, viewpoints, a waterfall, streams and many rock formations. Take a whole day for this, because you often stand still to see all this beauty. You also walk up and down a lot of stairs. Of course, we go through crevices and through rock tunnels, so please bring a flashlight. Most viewpoints are (2020) pretty dense, so don't expect too much from it. The waterfall or shooting pool is a real attraction, so it can be very crowded and it's a back and forth of cars. So it's nice that we passed by on this walk with the leg carriage. Oh yes, and the narrowest slit is 50cm wide. It's just that you know!

The hike starts near the Heringer Millen tourist center, where a large parking lot is available. In the brasserie you can also have a drink and / or eat afterwards. A short stretch through the village on the way to the first bridge over a beautiful stream. The environment changes more and more in the direction of a forest area and when we pass a second bridge, we begin the first ascent into the forest with many rock formations. We stay in the forest for a while and after the rainy weather we will see a waterfall on the way. When we descend to Consdorf after 4 kilometers, we have already had many beautiful photo moments. In the meantime, we also saw the first cracks, which were now quite wide. We regularly see a picnic bench, sometimes hidden under an overhanging rock.

We take a short walk through Consdorf and along wide paths we hike back into a wooded area. If we leave Consdorf behind, it is about 1 kilometer from a picturesque place with a stream, a pond and some kind of shelter. A nice place for pictures. Shortly afterwards, the rock formation "De Kuelscheier" begins.

The Kuelscheier is a group of rocks around a dark and narrow rock tunnel. The rocky passage is quite narrow and a flashlight is definitely recommended. The idea of the route is that you can follow the rock tunnel, but you can also bypass it. It's a nice place to explore anyway. Turn left, turn right, and look for the way up to find a lookout.

If we leave the Kuelscheier behind us, we quickly reach the two narrowest passages of the Mullerthal. First of all, the Déiwepëtz. Here you really had to take off your backpack to walk into the rock tunnel. And a little later we come to another narrow passage, namely the knight's walk!

After the knight's walk, we descend on a wider path next to a stream. We follow this trail until we cross a road and walk a narrower path along many different rock formations.

A number of rock formations have names. We first pass the Goldkaul (old pyrite quarry). A little later we see the Goldfralay rock formation. It is interesting to take a closer look at this one. The GPS track crosses some crevices, by the way, you can also continue on the main path. After crossing the cracks for about ten meters, we see a staircase that leads to the top. You may want to walk to the viewpoint. There is a nice bench, so also nice to take a picture.

About a kilometer after the Goldfralay we see the rock formation Eulenburg. The Eulenburg is a narrow passage through the rocks. Then it goes slowly down to the waterfall "De Schiessentümpel". This waterfall is an attraction in itself! They want to see it from all sides.

After the waterfall, it is another kilometer to the end point. A climb, a viewpoint, a descent, a stream and a little bit and then we're back in the parking lot!
