Bussum-Zuid is, besides being the name of a train station, also the informal name of a large post-war expansion district in Bussum, in the Dutch municipality of Gooise Meren. It is largely located south of the main road the Ceintuurbaan, which previously formed the southern boundary of the urban development in Bussum. The rapid, planned post-war new construction, following the years of reconstruction, has strongly influenced this district. The district has now existed for more than half a century. In recent decades, certain elements have been replaced by higher quality and more carefully designed new buildings, enhancing the district's appearance. The area is particularly privileged due to its exceptionally favorable, completely open location near the Goois Nature Reserve.
