We know that on the ground where we started, 10 meters above sea level with the Dutch vineyard, there was a monastery 1100 years ago. There was also Dutch viticulture present at that time. We know this based on historical research that has taken place here. In the past, when new farmers wanted to settle in the area, they had to give an anchor of wine to the large farmers, of which there were five. An anchor of wine is the same as 166 liters. Based on this, there must have been Dutch viticulture at that time as well. The Johanniter order was established in the monastery.
