Snail farm "Boerenslak," located in Oldambt, Groningen, is the northernmost snail farm in the Netherlands and the only one in Groningen. During spring, summer, and autumn, snails at different developmental stages can be seen. The snails are raised in an outdoor park. Once they are fully grown, they are supplied to restaurants in the area, where they are featured on the menu as a delicacy. The snails are raised in an environmentally sustainable manner, meaning that no harm is done to the environment during their cultivation.
