Not far from the eight-castle village of Vorden, in the hamlet of Kranenburg, lies the 1.5-hectare Wijngoed Kranenburg. Here, grapes are grown in an environmentally friendly manner. The soil is creek clay, which experts say is excellent for growing wine grapes. The winery has a cozy tasting room, where tastings are regularly held, with or without a tour of the vineyard.
From mid-September to mid-May, open on Saturdays from 2 to 4 PM, with a tour and tasting at 3:30 PM. From mid-May to mid-September, open on Thursdays from 10 AM to 4 PM, with a tour and tasting at 3:30 PM. During these days, the vineyard is open for visits and wine is for sale. No prior registration is necessary. The cost is €10 per person.
