The Torentje is part of the Binnenhof in The Hague. The Torentje houses the working room of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands. It is therefore often referred to by the current prime minister's name: Torentje of Rutte, Torentje of Balkenende, etc. The expression Torentjesoverleg also comes from this.
To the west of the Torentje is the Maurits or Grenadierspoort, which provides access to the Binnenhof. Directly opposite the Torentje are office spaces of the House of Representatives. Just outside the Binnenhof, the torentje overlooks the Mauritshuis. The torentje is built in the water of the Hofvijver.
On the ground floor of the torentje, there is a small meeting room, the Thorbeckezaal. On the first floor is the office of the Prime Minister.
