Opheusden is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. With 6,305 inhabitants, it is the second-largest place in the municipality of Neder-Betuwe. The village houses the town hall. Furthermore, Opheusden is located on the south bank of the Nederrijn and in the region of Neder-Betuwe. The village and its surroundings are characterized by a flat river landscape at about six meters above sea level with a lot of horticulture. Opheusden is known for its large-scale avenue tree nurseries and prides itself on being one of the largest in that field in Europe.
