Katwijk, also known as Katwijk on the Maas, is a Dutch village in the municipality of Cuijk, in the northeastern part of the Dutch province of North Brabant, on the left bank of the Maas. On January 1, 2016, Katwijk had 695 inhabitants.
In 1882, the railway bridge over the Maas was constructed to facilitate the rail connection between Nijmegen and Venlo. There was even a small station. The railway embankment was repeatedly washed away by the Maas water, notably in 1920 and 1926.
