There was hard fighting by Allies and Germans, in total there were 16 different nationalities fighting in this area. 132 planes crashed, and 60,000 civilians had to be evacuated due to all the violence of war.
On display are, among other things, five dioramas in which all 16 different nationalities are incorporated. Weapons, photo material and many personal items complete the picture.
Many objects have been donated by veterans and residents of this area. Almost every object in the museum has its own story. A guide is on hand to give you a tour.
As an extra addition to the history of Betuw, there is also a diorama of the Dutch army from May 1940. ( Betuwelinie) There are regularly changing exhibitions in the museum.
