The Vicki Brownhuis is the first drop-in center for adults and children with cancer and their loved ones in the Netherlands.
Since its establishment, the Vicki Brownhuis has focused on the psychosocial aspects of cancer in various ways. It is not a treatment institution but an informal meeting place. The Vicki Brownhuis is a volunteer organization.
The Vicki Brownhuis is named after the late English singer Vicki Brown, who suffered from cancer for many years. Her positive attitude during that time was the reason to make her the emblem of the drop-in center, which is located in 's-Hertogenbosch.
Until recently, Albert Verlinde was the ambassador of this organization.
The Vicki Brownhuis is affiliated with IPSO (= Institutions for Psychosocial Oncology).
