The Battery on the Sloterweg is located on the Geniedijk Haarlemmermeer near the Sloterweg access. It is part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam and supported the adjacent Fort at Hoofddorp and Fort at Aalsmeer.Until 1977, a section along the Geniedijk towards the Kick Pruijsbrug was used for ammunition storage by Eurometaal. The fort is in its original state and currently not in use. After the construction of the Geniepark by the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, the various components will be set up as a cultural breeding ground.
