The water tower in Leiden was designed by architect W.C. van Manen and was built in 1908. The water tower is located near the Wilhelmina Bridge over the Rhine-Schie Canal at the Hoge Rijndijk.
The water tower has a height of 29.5 meters and has one water reservoir with a capacity of 1200 m3.
Through the mediation of the Foundation for Industrial Heritage Leiden, the tower received the status of a national monument.
