Rosmolen Zeddam

The horse mill was built in 1546 as a supplement to the already existing windmill on behalf of the then owners, the Counts of Den Bergh, at the same location. After the construction of the horse mill, the counts leased the entire site with the tower mill, and the miller used the horse mill when there was not enough wind to grind, using the farmer's horse. In 1866, the mill was sold and demolished as a horse mill. In 1974, the horse mill was reconstructed with the help of the original building plans that had been preserved in the archive of Huis Bergh.
