Rosmolen blev bygget i 1546 som et supplement til den allerede eksisterende vindmølle på ordre af de daværende ejere Greverne Van den Bergh på samme sted. Greverne udlejede efter byggelsen af rosmolen hele stedet med tårnmøllen, og mølleren brugte rosmolen, når der var for lidt vind til at male ved hjælp af landmandens hest. I 1866 blev møllen solgt og nedrevet som rosmole. I 1974 blev rosmolen genopbygget ved hjælp af de originale bygningstegninger, der var bevaret i arkivet for Huis Bergh.
