The Cannenburger Mill or Cannenburcher Mill is a watermill on the Hartense Molenbeek in Vaassen in the Dutch municipality of Epe. The first mention of a mill on this site dates back to 1387. The rights of these and many other mills belonged to De Cannenburgh Castle. The Cannenburger mill is the oldest of these mills. In 1872 Gerrit 'Gait' in Riele bought the mill. He was the first member of the family in Riele to be a miller at the mill. The mill is also now (2009) owned by a descendant of this family. After a fire, the mill, which was originally largely wooden, was rebuilt in stone in 1942. A turbine was installed instead of the water wheel. As a result, the Vannenburger mill was in operation on water power until 1978. During the restoration in 2009, an overshot wheel was installed, but the turbine was retained. In the mill there is a specialized mill for grinding vegetables, herbs, spices and buckwheat. The mill is not open to visitors.
