Swolgen is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. The village has over 1,285 inhabitants. Until 2010 it belonged to the former municipality of Meerlo-Wanssum and until 1969 to the former municipality of Meerlo.The coat of arms of Swolgen appears for the first time on a deed of 29 September 1650. Saint Lambert, standing on it, has a raised right hand and holds an outward-turned crosier in his hand; To his right is a small church.
