The Dinxperlo railway station was the terminus of the former railway line Varsseveld - Dinxperlo in the province of Gelderland. This rail line was built by the former Locaal Spoorweg Maatschappij Dinxperlo - Varsseveld and operated by the Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij (Dutch Railways). When the station was built along the railway line, consideration was given to the possibility of extending the line to Isselburg in Germany. Then there would be a connection to the German rail network. This connection was never realized due to the very low interest from both the Dutch and German sides. The train station building was perpendicular to Maurits Prinsstraat, near Nieuwstraat. The line followed today's Nieuwstraat in a northern direction. The houses that stand on this street today date from the post-war period. The line continued further south to today's Brinkerveldstraat. Next to the station is the former station café. It was once called Hotel Boland, in 2019 Altholländisch.
