Mill De Eendragt is a windmill from 1691 on the banks of the Vecht. It is an octagonal corn mill of the type post mill with a stone base and a wooden, thatched upper structure. It was originally a malting mill, used to grind grain for the brandy distillers. This industry brought great prosperity to Weesp in the 17th and 18th centuries. The strong drink remained good for a long time and was often taken on VOC ships during lengthy sea voyages.
In 1807, the mill was converted into a shell sand mill, where beach sand was ground into powder used to make ceramics. The coarser powder was used as an abrasive. From 1815 to 1932, the mill served as a sawmill.
