Castle Nemerlaer is originally a medieval castle. It is located on an extensive estate, with the castle lanes leading to the road from Oisterwijk to Boxtel. Characteristic of the estate is primarily the family history. Castle Nemerlaer owes its name to the stream the Nemer and a Laer, an open place in the woods. It is suspected that a hunting lodge of the dukes of Brabant once stood at this location.
Experience former times The castle is still inhabited. You can take a guided tour and it is a venue for children's parties. In the basement, there is a café where you can enjoy the authentic ambiance while having a snack and a drink. There are also often cultural and public activities, such as exhibitions, workshops, and concerts. Castle Nemerlaer is furthermore a popular wedding venue.
