Fiemel is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Delfzijl. It lies to the east of Termunten directly on the Dollard, on the south side of the Punt van Reide. During World War II, the German occupiers built several bunkers near Fiemel. These were part of the Atlantic Wall and also served to defend the city of Emden, which lies opposite Fiemel at the Ems estuary. During the liberation of this part of the province of Groningen, heavy resistance was offered from those bunkers. The neighboring Nieuwolda was heavily damaged in the process. Several of the bunkers have been preserved.
