The Martinus Nijhoff Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the river Waal near Zaltbommel in the A2 motorway at Rkm 933.6. The bridge was opened on 18 January 1996 by Minister Jorritsma of Transport, Public Works and Water Management. The bridge is the replacement of the old and too narrow Bommelse Bridge from 1933, which was demolished in April 2007.
