The Amtsvenn is a moorland area in the northwestern Münsterland in North Rhine-Westphalia, directly on the Dutch border. It is located between the villages of Epe, Alstätte and Graes. The Amtsvenn is almost 9 km² in size on the German side and consists of three parts, which were named after the adjacent places: Alstätter Venn, Eper Venn and Graeser Venn. On the other side of the border, it continues in the 144-hectare Dutch town of Aamsveen, south of Enschede. The Amtsvenn was not developed until 1929, when the road from Epe to Alstätte was built.
