Vossenveld is a student apartment building of SSH& located on Vossendijk in Nijmegen by the Maas-Waal Canal. The complex is situated on the edge of Hatert, a former birdwatcher district.
Vossenveld was built in 1974 and is characterized by the gray block pattern. There are 626 residential units. On the ground floor, there are 32 self-contained living units, suitable for two people. The other 66 corridors with 594 rooms, up to a maximum of ten stories high, have a shared kitchen, two toilets, and 9 rooms. Each room is equipped with its own shower with a hall and a fast internet connection. These rooms measure 2.85 m by 5.80 m. The influx of students consists only of first-year students and international students. Until 2013, three corridors were permanently rented by the Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences, intended for international students studying at this University; since 2013, these students can also be placed in other corridors.
