The Markt is a square in the city center of the Dutch city of Roermond. It extends from Marktstraat and Luifelstraat to the Varkensmarkt, Swalmerstraat, and Kraanpoort, all of which come together here. On this Markt, there are various monumental buildings as well as the St. Christopher's Cathedral and the town hall of Roermond, both also monumental. Various events take place on the Markt, such as the annual Taptoe Midden-Limburg and liberation festivals, but the regular weekly market can also be found here on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
