Emmen Zoo wants to involve visitors in a pleasant, recreational way with living nature. The combination of often large groups of animals, pleasant plants and exciting exhibitions makes Emmen Zoo a unique organisation.
Take a trip around the world in Emmen
At Emmen Zoo, the animals are housed in the part of the world where they belong. So a walk through the park is actually a trip around the world. From Asia you walk to America, you pass Europe and Australia, and you make your way to Africa.
Meet animals from all over the world
Like an explorer, you will meet animals from all over the world. You immediately notice that the animals in Emmen have a lot of freedom of movement. While you as a visitor have to stay on the paths, the animals go their own way. The baboons continue to groom quietly, the ring-tailed lemurs enjoy a sunbath and the rhinos turn around in the mud.
Two parks
Due to the expansion of Emmen Zoo on the Noordbargeres, the park consists of two locations: Emmen Centrum Zoo and Emmen Es Zoo. In the center you will find all the animals, 'on' the Es Play Expedition Yucatán. The penguins are also currently staying in the center. A ticket for Emmen Zoo gives access to both locations.
