The Aduarderdiep is a 12-kilometre-long canal in the province of Groningen. For centuries it has been of great importance for the drainage of the surrounding area.
The Aduarderdiep is the continuation of the Peizerdiep and starts at the Hoendiep near Vierverlaten. The canal first flows to the north-northwest between Zuidwending and Leegkerk to take up the Zuidwending at Nieuwbrug and turn to the north. The canal then flows under the Friesestraatweg at the hamlet of Nieuwklap, immediately after it enters the Lindt watercourse on the left, then passes the hamlet of Gaaikemadijk on the west side and then crosses the Van Starkenborgh Canal. Immediately north of it, the Aduarderdiep flows under the Steentil to continue its course through the historic landscape of Middag. On the left, the canal passes the hamlets of Joeswerd, Brillerij and Bolshuizen and on the right Oostum and Krassum. At Schifpot, the canal flows under the connecting road between Feerwerd and Garnwerd, where the Oldehoofsch canal flows into on the west side. The canal then bends again to the north-northwest and flows out via two arms into the Reitdiep near Aduarderzijl.
