The Westerbroekstermadepolder is a nature reserve and former water board in the catchment area of the Hunze, a small river on the border of the northern Dutch provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. The polder is owned by the Groninger Landschap foundation.
The Westerbroekstermadepolder is 195 ha in size and is located about one kilometer southwest of Westerbroek, between Waterhuizen and Foxhol. It is sandwiched by the Hunze, the Groningen-Hoogezand railway line and the Foxholstermeer. The polder takes its name from the function that the area used to have: the wettest parts, which were called maggots, meeden or mieden, could only be used for grazing.
