Groot Engelenburg is a country estate on a 50-hectare property with a golf course located in Brummen in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The mansion was built on the site where a medieval castle originally stood. It was set on fire and destroyed by the Spanish army in 1624 during the Veluwe Invasion. In the early nineteenth century, Jacob Schimmelpenninck II built a new mansion on the foundations of the castle, which he used for hunting. Later, it was owned by the Twentsche Bank as a vacation and conference center, and after a merger with the Algemene Bank Nederland. Since 1987, it has been a hotel-restaurant. Groot Engelenburg is listed in the register of national monuments.
