Leusden Station

Leusden Station is a former railway station in the province of Utrecht. It was opened on February 15, 1886, for passenger transport.
Leusden was a stop where the train only stopped upon request. The difference with De Haar Station was that De Haar was a stop on the free track and Leusden was not. In 1922, block system-3 was put into service, and Leusden became a block post. The stop had a platform with a shelter and a ticket office on both sides. The stop was located at the site of the signal house 44. Here lived the block attendant with his wife, who worked as a female attendant and also sold the tickets. Leusden received a signal and operating device with a block cabinet to operate a block signal in both directions. The block cabinet was set up for block system-3 for block protection with Woudenberg-Scherpenzeel and with Amersfoort.
