The Sneeker Waterpoort is a water gate over the Hoogendsterpijp in Sneek. The gate consists of two octagonal towers, with a bridge in between over the shipping route between De Kolk and the Stadsgracht at the city center, and above the bridge a gatekeeper's house. Sneek had four other water gates and two land gates, all of which have been demolished. The Waterpoort remains and is now the symbol of Sneek. This symbol can also be found on the mainsail of the Sneeker skûtsje Sneker Pan, and in the sails and clothing of the Sneeker sailmaker Gaastra.
