The St. Catharinakerk or Grote Kerk is a Gothic church located on the Markt in Zevenbergen in North Brabant. She was dedicated to Saint Catherine before the Reformation. The oldest parts are from the 14th century. The church consists of a three-aisled nave, a transept, a straight choir and the Joris chapel on the west side of the north transept building. The nave dates from around 1400 when the choir was also raised. The church was given its current shape after a major renovation in the years 1541-1546. The tower received a new wooden crown in 1766, designed by Philip Willem Schonck. The Flentrop organ was built in 1954-1955 by D.A. Flentrop in Zaandam and has 3 manuals and a free pedal. The Great Clock, also called Maria Bell, dates from 1450 and weighs more than 700 kilos. There are 19 tombstones in the church.
