The Kop van Goeree is a nature reserve on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee, in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located between Havenhoofd and the Scheelhoek forest and consists of a pond, reed beds, willow storage and flowery dikes. This area of almost sixty hectares is managed by Natuurmonumenten. An important part of this nature reserve is 't Kiekgat. During the construction of the Haringvlietdam, this was a work island. In the 1970s, sand was extracted, creating a pond. There is a bird hide on this lake. A large number of different species of birds are observed here. In spring it is an important area for reed birds and in winter a large number of ducks and geese stay here.
