The Coolhaven is a harbor in Rotterdam. The Coolhaven was excavated in 1922 as a new link between the Delfshavense Schie and the Nieuwe Maas. It is not only a waterway but also a catchment area of the Hoogheemraadschap Delfland.
The connection between the Coolhaven and the Nieuwe Maas runs via the Parksluizen, which opened in 1933, and the Parkhaven. Many sand and gravel ships sail to and from Delft and The Hague through the Coolhaven. From the Parkhaven, boats can continue to the Nieuwe Maas.
