Laakweg Walking Forest

The Laakweg Walking Forest, the last part of the Balij-Bieslandse Forest recreation area, will be officially opened on Wednesday, June 7th. Between two and five o'clock in the afternoon, various activities will take place around the entrance on Laakweg, next to the Scouting Nootdorp grounds.

The Balij and Bieslandse Forest together form one of the largest green areas in South Holland. The Laakweg Walking Forest, the last part of this recreational area, is now ready for use. With the opening of the Walking Forest, Pijnacker-Nootdorp has gained 54 hectares of nature and recreation area. There is a lot of open water for recreation and water retention, there is a naturally open and dense forest with native tree species, and there is a variety of walking, strolling, and cycling paths with bridges and viewpoints over water bodies.

There are multiple connections to the surrounding area. The main entrance with parking can be accessed via Hofweg/Laakweg. In addition, there are cycle and walking connections with Balijbos and Dobbeplas and the residential area ‘s-Gravenhout.
