This chapel was built during the first half of the 16th century and is
executed in the Gothic style.
It measures internally about four by eight meters and is covered with a thatched roof.
After centuries of vacancy and neglect, the building was purchased in 1918 by the association Hendrick de Keyser (based in Amsterdam) and thus saved from demolition.
After an extensive restoration in the years 1955-1957, the chapel was rededicated on May 15, 1960, this time to Dymphna. Dymphna is the patroness of those with mental illness and epilepsy.
