You are now in the largest contiguous heathland area of North Brabant, where the northern goshawk, curlew, and moor frog live. The reserve contains dry areas with windblown sand, heather and shrub fields. In the wet areas you will find marsh wolf's claw, sphagnum moss, and beaked sedge. The beautiful Kempenweg runs through the coniferous forest area, behind which lie the Starven and Beuven. You will enjoy some nice tight bends and a well-paved road up to the Provincial Road. On the left is the Somerse Heide with the Keelven and a bit further the Lange Bleek with the Bultven. Where else can you find so much natural beauty within less than 30 kilometers of motorcycling?
